Why This Orchid Is Rare
This is not a mass-produced supermarket orchid. It is a specialist cross created from carefully selected coerulea bellina breeding lines.
Collectors highly value this orchid because:
- Both White Earth and Moonlight are premium bellina breeding lines.
- It produces unusually cool lavender and violet tones rarely seen in standard bellina hybrids.
- Inherits the famous strong fragrance of Phalaenopsis bellina.
- Produced in limited numbers by specialist growers.
- Sought after by species and collector orchid enthusiasts worldwide.
As the plant matures, each flowering can become larger and even more impressive.
Care for This Orchid
Being predominantly bellina genetics, this orchid enjoys warm temperatures, bright filtered light and higher humidity throughout the year.
For best results:
- Place in bright indirect light.
- Keep warm all year round.
- Water thoroughly, allowing the bark to become slightly dry between waterings.
- Maintain moderate to high humidity with good airflow.
- Feed every 2–3 weeks using a balanced orchid fertiliser.
- Avoid cold drafts and temperatures below 18°C.
Given the right conditions, this orchid can flower repeatedly throughout the year, with each bloom filling the room with its wonderful fragrance.
